I have challenged myself to learn a new language. Now this language isn't a very popular language like French, Spanish, and even English. It's a language that can be traced back to my ancestors, and I am proud to be learning it. I've always been fascinated with my roots, my ancestors, and where my family came from. Maybe it's because people tell me I look so much like them which I gladly accept as a compliment, or maybe it's just my curiosity, and maybe there's a reason that i'm not aware of yet of why I've always been drawn to them.

You many think this sounds stupid, but this is something I'm serious about. I just wish I could know more about exactly who my ancestors were, but I don't know if I could ever find that information considering my grandpa has passed and my grandma has Alzheimer's and she probably wouldn't remember much. I would loved to go visit a place where they live and be surrounded by their culture and ways of living. I don't know why I say 'they' when I feel like I'm connected to them too, even if it is by a few strands.

It's hard for me to go up and tell my mom and dad "Hey I want to go visit an Indian Reservation", because they'd think it was silly and wouldn't understand. I hope one day in the near future I am able to do what I am longing to do! :)

I'm also gonna add that this language seems to come so naturally to me. Now I haven't gone too deep with it yet, I've only learned a, e, and i vowels and such but it seems pretty easy so far :)
